Terberg is globally active in the development, production and modification of special transport vehicles and systems for port terminals, logistics and waste collection.
We also offer a wide range of complementary services for these vehicles, either directly or through our global service network. These include maintenance, spare parts supply, retrofit, repair, rental and telematics. In this way, we help customers optimise the reliability and cost-effectiveness of their equipment.
As a family business, we focus on sustainable growth and innovation based on our core values, which have made us successful for more than 155 years. Terberg has more than 3,000 employees working in 15 countries all over the world.
New developments are constantly taking place in the world of transport and logistics, from distribution processes to driveline technology. Businesses and the public sector are constantly looking for opportunities to make their transport, distribution, waste collection or warehousing as efficient and optimal as possible.
In 1869 Johannes Bernardus Terberg set up as a blacksmith in Benschop, near Utrecht in the Netherlands. Early 1900's Terberg was selling bicycles, repairing cars and supplying spare parts.
After the second World War the company started modifying American army trucks for civilian use and opened garages.
In the 1970s Terberg set up a leasing division and truck and vehicle modification companies. Terberg Benschop delivered its first terminal tractor to the port of Rotterdam in 1973.
From that period through to the present, the Royal Terberg Group established international subsidiaries and built up a worldwide network of distributors in several specialist vehicles markets.
Today Terberg counts four divisions:

SUSTAINABILITY AT ROYAL TERBERG GROUP
At Royal Terberg Group, sustainability is part of how we work and how we create long-term value.
As a family-owned business, we focus on building a resilient organisation that is ready for the future.
We see how global challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and changing regulations impact both our business and our customers. By responding to these developments, we stay relevant, competitive, and responsible.
OUR APPROACH
Our sustainability approach is built around a clear 3x3 framework:
Supported by strong business conduct as a foundation.
Within these areas, we turn ambition into concrete actions, measurable targets and improvements across the organisation.

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE
SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR DAILY WORK
Sustainability is part of our strategy, governance and day-to-day decision-making.
It is not the responsibility of one team, but a shared commitment across the whole organisation.
IMPROVING AND PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
We continue to strengthen our data, processes and reporting capabilities.
This helps us make better decisions and prepares us for future reporting requirements, including alignment with CSRD and ESRS.
DRIVING CHANGE ACROSS THE BUSINESS
Our 3x3 framework gives us a clear and practical way to turn strategy into action and drive change across the organisation.
Together, these efforts help us build a resilient, future-ready business.

ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE AT ROYAL TERBERG GROUP
At our company, doing the right thing matters. Ethics and Compliance help us make decisions and act in ways that reflect our values and protect our organization, our colleagues, and our customers.
Ethics are about our principles — doing what is right, even when no one is watching. It means treating others with respect, being honest and transparent, avoiding conflicts of interest, and taking responsibility for our actions. Ethics guide how we behave every day and how we build trust with one another.
By understanding and applying these principles, we all help create a workplace built on trust, integrity, and accountability.
Compliance is about following the laws, regulations, and internal policies that apply to our work. It helps ensure that we meet legal and professional standards, safeguard company information and assets, and operate with integrity in everything we do.
Ethics and compliance go hand in hand: ethics guide our choices, while compliance sets the rules that help us stay on the right path.
